Joseph Gordon-Levitt to Star and Direct Movie of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman Comics
When in Manila, not a lot of people that I know are really into graphic novels. For those who are resident geeks of the comic book world, though, you should know who Neil Gaiman is, what Vertigo is and what “Sandman” is. The “Sandman” graphic novels just happen to be my favorite graphic novels of all time (if Wonder Woman weren’t my alter ego, Delirium would be), so when I read this tweet from Joseph Gordon-Levitt just a few minutes ago, I literally squealed and screamed HELL YEAH!!! in the middle of Coffee Bean. True story.

After displaying his acting chops in awesome movie after awesome movie after awesome movie and after displaying his directing chops in “Don Jon”, I cannot say anything bad about this move of giving JGL the reins to direct this movie and maybe even star in it. While it is definitely a huge step up in terms of scale, scope and awesomeness, I am not worried at all. In fact, I cannot wait!!!
