The first-ever multi-media festival of the north is about to happen as Baiya: Subic Festival 2018 invites creators and art enthusiasts of all ages whose interests range from music to fine arts to filmmaking. The event will happen at the Harbor Point Mall, Subic Bay Freeport Zone in Olongapo City, Zambales on October 12-13, 2018,

 

Known as one of the leading lifestyle destinations at the heart of the Subic Freeport Zone, event presenter and venue partner Ayala Malls aims to bring the community together with a strong emphasis on making the arts and music accessible for all and envisions to start a new festival tradition in the region.

 

The Baiya: Subic Festival 2018 comes alive with murals, film installations, and musical performances enabling the festivalgoers to engage in numerous activities all throughout the day. Combined with live music and top-billing performances, the festival boasts a line-up for a diverse crowd to enjoy. Featuring some of the biggest rock, alternative, pop and EDM artists of the country, the festival creates an atmosphere of pure fun and excitement with performances from James Reid, Nadine Lustre, Parokya ni Edgar, Hale, Ben&Ben, IV of Spades, with the country’s top DJs including Patty Tiu, MK Thompson, and Tom Taus.

 

Art enthusiasts are also invited to feel the creative process, come up with ideas, literally get dirty and express themselves through a live mural painting and street art designing. As for the aspiring filmmakers, they are summoned to join a competition for students and amateurs alike to showcase their cinematic expertise to the next level. Winners will be carefully handpicked and will receive exciting prizes for their efforts and creativity.
