ISIS Wellness and Spa: A Hidden Place Of Comfort And Relaxation
There are days in our daily lives when we find ourselves unable to function as normal. We start to get shiftless and sluggish, and we tend to underperform at work. The culprit? Stress. This inevitable part of our lives will always be a part of us, but we can always find solutions to overcome it. Here’s one solution I found hidden in the middle of the crazy urban city of Makati: Isis Wellness and Spa.
Isis Wellness and Spa is located at the ground floor of Prince Plaza Condominium, just right beside Greenbelt 5. This humble place of wellness and relaxation amazed me in more ways than one, as it is comparable to spas found at high-end hotels.
Designed with earth-tone colors and wooden fixtures from the owner’s previous travels around Asia, ISIS Wellness and Spa reminds guests to sit back and give in to the relaxing feeling and aroma that the place exudes.
ISIS Wellness and Spa is owned and operated by a passionate couple that I have known before this wellness place was even conceptualized. Chef Didier Derouet and Merna Brazil-Derouet recounted how they established their own place from one single plan – from customizing their own blend of oils to picking the finest ingredients and establishing a healing touch one will always remember.
What’s unique about this place compared to other spas in the metro is that they serve exquisite appetizing concoctions beforehand. Their light food serves as a welcome treat for guests coming in.
What we thought was cold water was a glass of Sparkling Water infused with Lemongrass. It was paired with a tangy Shrimp Salad.
A light concoction of healthy greens drizzled with olive oil really worked up my appetite.

I would call my experience at Isis a 2-hour retreat, and I could say that it was one of the best massages of my life. When my therapist instructed me to take a good whiff of her hand while lying down, I breathed in a soothing smell that lulled me to sleep. From her expert strokes to the calming music in the background, everything fell into place.
What we experienced was the ISIS Renew and Refresh, which basically consists of a 60-minute massage, a 60-minute facial and a 30-minute body scrub. For the facial treatments, ISIS only uses Pevonia products, which is widely known for its special formulation that gives users soft skin and a radiant glow. No wonder I still have that glowing feel even days after my treatment. Definitely a must-try!
After our relaxing retreat, the comfort kept on going. We were offered light refreshments to cap off our wonderful experience.
We were offered a choice of fruit juice or hot tea. I can never say no to a soothing hot tea after a good massage. Paired with fresh fruit salad and chocolate chip muffins – all wonderful!
Our overall senses were given a much-deserved treat at ISIS Wellness and Spa. I would love to visit the place weekly after a tedious day at work and to simply escape from stress!
