Is This Another Bullet Scam in NAIA?

A few days ago, we shared a story about a bullet scam experienced by a netizen in NAIA.

Today, a similar incident reported on ABS-CBNNews.com detailed that a tourist traveling in the Philippines was detained for five days in by airport police the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 for allegedly hiding a bullet in his checked-in baggage.

The tourist, identified as Lane Michael White, was stopped at a scanner in NAIA Terminal 4 while traveling with his father and stepmother to Palawan. A bullet was said to be found inside his luggage, which he denied.

According to White, a male guard told him that his problem can be settled for PhP 30,000. He refused to pay and said, “God endured the pain when he was being whipped at the cross and if I need to be detained just to prove my innocence so be it.”

As of the moment, the Office of the Transport Security (OTS), the agency that handles airport X-ray scanner operators, has yet to issue a statement.
