A local motoring website, TopGear Philippines, posted on its website an Instagram post showing how a netizen plans to “get away” with the number coding scheme in Metro Manila.
For those unfamiliar with the number coding scheme, it is implemented to curb the high volume of cars in Metro Manila especially during peak hours, much like the new one-truck lane policy. The number coding scheme is formally called the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program and more mistakenly referred to as the color coding scheme. Back on the Instagram post, here’s what the netizen posted. For the purpose of keeping the identity of the original poster and to simply focus on the appalling idea of how to “get away” with the number coding scheme, we blurred out the thumbnails and usernames.
