Illuminate: A Workshop on Photography Fundamentals with Design and Composition Principles

It has always been our desire to help. And in order to affect change one must start with the little things. These simple things may seem trivial for most but for some it may be the greatest and most impossible dream. Being able to achieve these dreams comforts us and gives us determination and more importantly, hope – a silver lining.

The Silver Lining, the team behind Illuminate, a joint effort for a cause, aims to inspire hope to those who are struggling to find it.

This hope is what ensures us that we can and will achieve and become anything. This hope pushes us to fight and go through any challenges that may come our way in the pursuit our dream. But to some these “dreams” are farther their reach then how we see it. Dreams are rooted in every person, even as a child; It is their guiding light, their North Star, to realise a goal that matters.

Our Cause:

Cancer is a disease that entails continuous struggle and sadly, it does not only attack adults, it also preys on innocent children. This, we believe, changes their childhood – it causes incredible stress and limits their dreams to what their condition will only allow them to do. It is our desire to help these children forget the stresses of their condition and to help them look at their obstacles in another light; in a perspective that gives hope both to them and to others.

Our Method:

Share the knowledge of capturing a story through photos through a fundraising workshop for the East Ave. children cancer patients and Ms. Joan Ladines.

Hoping you can help us be their silver lining!
