We’ve already featured Ikkoryu’s best ramen dishes and now, we would like to share with you Ikkoryu’s delectable non-ramen dishes that are equally as good 🙂

When in Manila and looking for a place that serves authentic Japanese ramen and other good food that can be paired and washed down with a cup of sake or a glass of beer, Ikkoryu is the place to be. [Good news to all – they now have two branches: Shangri-La Plaza Mall and SM Aura in Taguig – yay!]

If you are the adventurous type, you might want to try Takowasa and Mentaiko Gohan. Please note that these two dishes might be more appreciated by the adults 🙂 Takowasa is made up of chopped raw octopus mixed with wasabi paste while Mentaiko Gohan is served with a small piece of medium-spicy cod roe on top of plain rice. I loved these two with my cold Kirin beer and Sparkling Sake – perfect reward after work.
