Hyve’s First Anniversary: A Year of Buzzing Booze and Beats – Happy Anni-HYVE-Sary!
When In Manila and looking for an escape with great music, crowd, food and drinks; it’s nice to know that the people from Hyve will always say “Oh, what can we do for you?”.
It’s been a year since an upscale club and lounge at the eight floor of the W Global Center in Bonifacio Global City opened its doors to metro’s happy searchers. No, they didn’t spell Hyve wrong. They were actually playing with words and spelling while thinking of a name, and with “social hub” as a definitive target for brainstorming, Hyve was unarguably a great choice!

I am very fortunate to have been part of the exclusive thank you party of Hyve last March 12 where they invited intimate friends and partners. The place was celebrated with a splendid sparkler parade of champagnes and free over-flowing drinks (until supplies lasted) provided by Hennessy, a voguish crowd and premier beats by DJ Dim Sum, JC Sandejas and Delta Street!
Hyve’s managing partner Jessie Suaco believes a club shouldn’t just be about having fun. There’s a lot involved and it’s pretty much hard work. They also credit the good honey year to the strong hive of busy bees: “We’re one whole net family. Everyone works together. It’s not about the money. It’s about how you work together well.”

When asked about how they would describe Hyve to a tourist looking for a good club When In Manila, they said: “Hyve is something that’s definitely you don’t see everywhere in the world, the light show, the visuals, it’s something different… it’s a melting pot!”
And with the best acts and events that Hyve Nation has hosted, including last December’s Zedd Moment of Clarity, I couldn’t agree more! I tried to fish for some hints on the acts and highlights to look forward to this year, and I got two words: BIGGER EVENTS! I can’t wait!
