Alter Ego, in partnership with Gaming Library andShangri-la Plaza Mall, is proud to invite you to a major celebration of International Table Top Day 2017 in the Philippines, entitled All Aboard 2.0.
The event will be a free, unlimited experience of tabletop games for the entire weekend, held on the 4th Level of the East Wing of Shangri-la Plaza Mall, on April 29-30 (Saturday-Sunday), from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM on both days.
Everyone can expect to find a game that’s right for them at All Aboard 2.0. Hobby gamers can take a turn at Gloomhaven, the hottest 2017 board game release and currently at #7 of BoardGameGeek’s global game rankings. Groups of friends who are new to gaming can try a short game ofExploding Kittens or Joking Hazard. Even history buffs have something to look forward to with Twilight Struggle, a board game dramatization of the Cold War tension between the USA and the USSR. Best of all, everything is for free.
All Aboard 2.0 will also give exposure to different tabletop interest groups. Local board game designers will be there to showcase their published games and playtest new designs.
The Philippine Historical Boardgamers Club will also promote and allow attendees to sample board games rooted in historical simulations.
Finally, there will be organized contests where hobby gamers and casual attendees can join and win prizes. Attendees can test their cunning in a card game based on the popular book series and TV show A Game of Thrones, or their social deduction skills in a game of Ultimate Werewolf.
All of this is made possible by a friendly team of volunteers from Alter Ego and their partner Gaming Library, who will be there to coach and facilitate all the board games and group activities.
Started by Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day five years ago, International TableTop Day envisions a worldwide community coming together to celebrate the passion of board games. Already, more than 1,500 locations all over the world are preparing to celebrate International TableTop Day.
