Here’s Your First Look at the Deadpool Sequel

Deadpool changed the superhero genre and made it more fun again. And it worked: it became the highest grossing X-Men film and critics praised lead Ryan Reynolds’ performance. That’s why when it was announced that there’s going to be a sequel, everyone got excited.

Ryan Reynolds shared the first photo of the sequel, and it shows Deadpool lying outside the X-Mansion, rumored to be part of the second film. In true “Merc with a Mouth” fashion, Reynolds captioned the photo with “Dropped by X-Mansion. Looked closely for Beast’s lawn bombs before taking well deserved nap.”

To date, the photo has more than 800,000 likes and almost 3,000 comments.

The castle is Hatley Castle in real life and is located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. It has served as the X-Mansion in films like X2: X-Men United, X-Men: The Last Stand, and Deadpool, where the titular superhero came to pick up Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Colossus to fight Ajax and Angel Dust.

Reynolds will return as Deadpool, and he will be joined by Josh Brolin as Cable. Zazie Beetz will also join as Domino, while Jack Kesy and Shioli Kutsuna have undisclosed roles. Kesy will be playing a villain, rumored to be Black Tom Cassidy.

Deadpool 2 will premiere sometime in 2018.
