Taiwan is home to the Taipei 101, the Shilin Market, and the Taipei Zoo. If the country is on your list of must-see places, there’s a chance for you to visit the country visa-free if you’re holding a Philippine passport.

According to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines, those who have visas, valid resident or permanent resident cards from Australia, Canada, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, any of the Schengen countries, the United Kingdom, or the United States may apply for a visa exemption.

Other requirements include passports that have “remaining validity of at least six months starting from the date of arrival in Taiwan” and a return air or ferry ticket. The applicant should also not have been employed as a blue-collar worker in Taiwan.

Those who have any of the documents mentioned above can apply for an exemption authorization certificate here.

By the way, if you’re planning to visit Taiwan soon, Philippines AirAsia will be flying daily from Manila to Taipei starting Nov 21, and 3 times a week from Cebu to Taipei, starting Nov 25. For more info and to avail their current Taipei promo fares, click this link –> https://www.wheninmanila.com/airasia-connects-manila-and-cebu-to-taipei/
