There were whispers and rumors around Hollywood that a beloved character of a not-so-accepted DC movie was getting their own movie. Well, Warner Brothers has finally confirmed a Harley Quinn spin-off, giving it the title “Gotham City Sirens” (originally planned as “Birds of Prey”). Full steam ahead!
David Ayer, the director of WB’s Suicide Squad, wants in on the Gotham City Sirens. I personally have faith in David Ayer when it comes to this since he has already directed movies like ‘Fury’, ‘The Fast and the Furious’ and ‘Training Day’.
Plus, with one of the most well-known names in the DC universe, and President and Chief Creative Officer of DC comics Geoff Johns on the scene as one of the producers; ‘Gotham City Sirens’ is looking pretty good to me!
Rumor has it that ‘Gotham City Sirens’ might include Batgirl, too (also known as Barbara Gordon played by Jena Malone in ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition’). Also, we will get a chance to see a new Catwoman and Poison Ivy team up with Harley Quinn! Looks like DC is getting queues from the comics! I’m hoping to see the Huntress, Black Canary, Katana and/or Hawkgirl, as well, along with more of Ben Affleck’s Batman and Batman villains!

Warner Brothers are setting this movie on the fast track, but has yet to announce the release date. We will try our best to keep watch on any information about ‘Gotham City Sirens’ and its development! DCEU is also working on a sequel for ‘Suicide Squad’.
