Bringing together the brightest guitar innovators in the local indie scene, Trailblazers presents Bullet Dumas, Tom’s Story, Martti Franca, and JokoReantaso for a show that aims to honor the artists that have forged their own paths sonically with the music styles they chose to pursue. Bullet Dumas, a Stages Sessions alumnus known for his sharp lyrics and dynamic guitar playing has established himself as one of local music’s most respected singer-songwriters, his skill being recognized even by the mainstream.
Tom’s Story, who released their self-titled debut album back in 2016 and is composed of lead guitarist Gabba Santiago, bassist Tom Naval, and drummer Degs De Guia, has become one of the scene’s most recognized instrumental rock outfits. Martti Franca, a newcomer in the industry who recently released his debut single “Alone” with Stages Sessions, continues to show promise through his charming songwriting and bluesy vibes. The line-up is then rounded off with the introduction of JokoReantaso’s solo endeavor with the release of his debut EP, “Sunny Side Up,” whose launch will also take place that night.
The show is a celebration of those who have dedicated so much to their craft and are now treading new ground for others to follow suit. It’s a night to recognize how vibrant guitar music has become in our scene and how much more we can expect it to grow with these artists both established and incoming.
Stages Sessions Presents: Trailblazers with Bullet Dumas, Tom’s Story, Martti Franca, and Joko Reantaso will take place on June 3, 2018, 8 PM, at 19 East in Sucat, Muntinlupa City.
