Following the success of the GRID Open Call in Manila and Cebu, GRID Magazine, in partnership with Henry’s Professional, presents another learning opportunity for both amateur and professional photographers – the GRID Travel Photography Toolkit, an out-of-town workshop focusing on enhancing skills that are essential for travel photography, to be held on February 19-21, 2016.

GRID takes photography workshops one step further as we bring you to the field to experience what it’s like to be on assignment as a GRID photographer. It will be a three-day learning experience with coverage running the gamut from acing portraiture and how to work with natural and mixed light, to getting food photography right. The workshop is perfect for photographers who not only want to learn more about photography but also want to practice their travel photography skills in beautiful Baler, Aurora. There will be plenty of time for participants to shoot on their own free time and enjoy the scenery, as well as mingle with each other over food and drinks. It will also be an opportunity for them to experience “glamping” at one of the best up-and-coming “glamping” destinations in the country.

The GRID Travel Photography Toolkit is part of the GRID Travel series, a series of out-of-town photography workshops set throughout the year in different locations in the Philippines. This first event will be held at EASY Adventure, at Charlie’s Point, Baler, Aurora. Participants will get a chance to learn from GRID’s resident photographers, Paco Guerrero, Miguel Nacianceno, and Sonny Thakur – all of which have showcased their work in the Philippines and abroad, and are creative champions of the local industry.

Registration for the GRID Travel Photography Toolkit is from December 19, 2015 to February 19, 2016. Slots are limited to 20 to keep the workshop effective for each and every participant, and are on a first-come-first-served basis. The registration fee of P4500 will cover accommodations for three days and two nights, food, transportation, and workshop fees. Reserve your slot and check out more details of the event at www.gridmagazine.ph/travelseries. For inquiries, reach us at letters@gridmagazine.ph.
