Transport network company Grab Philippines suspended the driver from a viral post where the said driver told the passenger to cancel the booking since they were the one in a hurry.
The viral screenshot showed the driver’s message asking the rider to cancel the booking after he waited for about 20 minutes.
“Ako eat muna… Nagmamadali ka. Ikaw cancel,” the driver said, as seen in the image shared online by rider Karl Hui.
On a Facebook post, Grab’s head Brian Cu said, “For this particular driver, he’s been suspended and won’t likely be able to drive on Grab again.”
Still, he asks for patience from Grab users. He said, “To the patrons of grab naman, please also do not cancel on drivers. Sometimes it’s Traffic and it takes a bit of time. Please be patient lang a bit during these times.”
