Google Announces an Office in the Philippines

Google celebrates the opening of an office in the Philippines – lots of confetti falling from above

When in Manila, you will see that technology giants are continuously establishing their presence in the Philippines. Our country is a key market in Southeast Asia amid its growing population of investors whether it may be in the field of Information Technology, Communications or even non-tech services.

The Google Philippines stage is all set for the big announcement

Google Inc has recently announced opening a new office in Manila to deepen its investment in the Philippines. According to Julian Persaud, Managing Director of Google in Southeast Asia, the new office will allow Google to better engage with their local customers. Over 33 million Filipinos access the Internet regularly and this is expected to grow exponentially. It has also announced that it will be hiring for its Manila office. Job openings can be viewed on its website, www.google.com.ph/jobs, in the coming days. Narciso Reyes, formerly Google’s head of sales for the Philippines, will serve as Country Manager for the office bringing to his new role over 16 years of digital marketing and finance experience in Asia and the US.
