GOOD VIBES: We Raised Enough Funds to Send Relief Goods for the Children of Marawi

We’re very happy that the war in Marawi is finally over and the work of rehabilitation is now happening.  And we are thankful that the WhenInManila.com community rallied behind our call to help send relief goods to the children of Marawi who were forced to flee with their parents and live in evacuation camps.

We were able to raise sufficient funds to purchase relief goods such as diapers and biscuits for the children. Our logistics partner, the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) Liaison Office, have shipped them to evacuation centers in Lanao del Norte. Thank you!

Turnover of Relief Goods for the Children of Marawi

WhenInManila.com turned over relief goods to the ARMM Manila Liaison Office on 9 October 2017.

Much thanks to our angels, in particular, Don Sagarbarria, Leif Mendoza, Sangrim Kim, Darlene Letran, Pol Ballao, and Cecil Abella Alejandrino. We are very grateful to leaf artist, Yel Cast, for donating his incredible artworks for the cause.

And thank you, our readers, for sharing and helping in any way you could.

It is not over yet, however. Although the war in Marawi has ended, the city is now left in ruins. It will take some time before the people can all go home. Rebuilding will be a lengthy process.

We are still accepting donations that can be used to send more relief goods to the children still needing help. Let use our power of giving to show our unity with our brothers and sisters in Marawi.
