Good Vibes: Netizen Shares Story of the “BibleMan” in Espana, Manila

Let’s stop the political issues at the moment and read our #GoodVibes story for a change.

When in Manila, people are generally religious and courteous. However, we rarely see people reading their Bibles in the streets unless they are missionaries, pastors, or priests.

As luck would have it, a netizen came across a beggar reading his Bible in the street. According to John Michael Yadao, he was on his way home from Espana (name of the area in Manila) when he noticed an old man reading his Bible.

He also narrated on his Facebook post that: “I was standing behind him thinking na of all things na pwedeng gawin, he was reading his Bible!”

Here’s the full caption:

Pauwi ako kanina from España pero napatigil ako sa kinatatayuan ko nung nakita ko ang mama na ito sa daan, I was standing behind him thinking na of all things na pwedeng gawin, he was reading his Bible! He made me realize na kahit walang-wala ang isang tao, mapa pera, bahay, pagkain o kung ano man na meron sa mundong ito, if you have GOD, you have everything.

Proverbs 19:17- ang simpleng tulong mula sa iyo ay malaking bagay para sa iba. Blessed is the beggar/poor who fears the Lord than the rich who lost his soul.
