DyceNDyne brings you Board Game Blow-Up, a two-day board game auction on January 28 and 29, 2017.
The two-day event will give gaming aficionados an opportunity to add to their collections, drawing from a library of more than 500 board games and card games.
Auction mechanics are simple. Upon registration, attendees will be given a numbered placard, which they will use during the auction.
If attendees wish to bid on an item, they raise their placard, and wait to be acknowledged by the auctioneer. Each bid in this way raises the price of the item by PhP100.
Alternatively, attendees may wish to raise the current bid to a specific amount. To do this, they raise their placard, wait to be acknowledged, and verbally declare the amount they wish to pay for the item.
Most games will be sold in packages, instead of being auctioned off individually. Popular titles that will be featured prominently on Day 1 include Cards Against Humanity, Agricola, Splendor, and Sushi Go.
Meanwhile, Day 2 will feature Gen Con smash hit Captain Sonar, the communications game Concept, cooperative classic Forbidden Island, and a several spinoffs of the popular Munchkin franchise.
All attendees can be assured that games are completely playable, and some of them are good as new, according to DyceNDyne managing partner Hans Kenner Fernandez.
Entrance fee is PhP100 for a single-day pass, or PhP150 for both days.
DyceNDyne is a board game cafe and bar located at the ground floor of Elements@Rosemarie Bldg., Pasig Blvd., Pasig, right next to BPI and across the street from Seaoil.
Its business hours are 11am to 2am on Saturday, and 11am to 12am on Sunday.
