Gilas Pilipinas women’s 3×3 team barges into the battle for the gold with a convincing 21-12 win over Vietnam.
Now, the Philippines’ women’s team is just waiting for the winner between Malaysia and Thailand.

The Philippine team initially was stuck with a four-point deficit before Janine Pontejos got her shooting streak.
Pontejos nailed her shots to deliver a 21-12 win over Vietnam. Soon, the team will be in a gold medal match either against Malaysia or Thailand.
Pontejos contributed eight points during the Filipinos’ 16-3 run to finish the game.
Earlier, Thailand gave the Philippines its only loss in the prelims.
