Wanderland Music and Arts Festival 2016 took in over 10,000 festival-goers alone. Now on its 5th year, Wanderland welcomes you to an inhabited land no wanderer has sought to explore: Wanderland Jungle. Pack your bare necessities as Wanderland heads down south to a massively brand new space, Filinvest City Event Grounds, Alabang on March 4, 2017.
Alongside the first 4 acts; LANY, WOODLOCK, UP DHARMA DOWN, and GAB AND JOHN OF URBANDUB, these international and homegrown acts will leave Wanderers howling to the tunes of their favorite indie songs and bewildered at the live art performances by only the freshest homegrown talent.
Four-piece American post-rock group, EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY, consists of members Mark, Michael, Munaf, and Chris. Formed in 1999, the band has since released 7 studio albums. Their vibrant and electrifying instrumentals has gained them features on a handful of television programs, commercials, and movie soundtracks. Hailing from the UK, British duo, HONNE, made up by Andrew and James are also set to perform at Wanderland. On June 2016, they released their first full-length album, Warm on A Cold Night. Their warm electronic soulful tunes will surely keep Wanderers warm on a cold night at Wanderland Jungle.
Homegrown musical three-piece band, TOM’S STORY, will be performing at Wanderland. Formed in 2010, the instrumental rock/post-rock band is comprised by long-time friends Gabba, Tom, and Christer. Their groovy and melodic beats will leave Wanderers dancing under the sun. Garnering internet fame in her early years, singer/songwriter REESE LANSANGAN has become one to watch and is now set to perform at the Wanderland stage. With her alternative rock/acoustic sound, she recently released her first full length album “Arigato, Internet” which houses her most requested song “Exploration No. 5.”
Wanderland recently concluded its search for Wanderband and Wanderartist 2017 with the Jungle Battle. Reigning mighty at this year’s Jungle Battle and scoring a wildly rare Jungle gig is homegrown indie rock band, Wanderband 2017, LOLA AMOUR. Alongside Wanderband 2017 will also be fellow Wanderband finalists alternative soul/funk band BANNA HARBERA and indie pop/jazz band MICKEY SULIT. The Jungle Battle also handpicked the final four live artists that will be coloring in the wild for Wanderland Jungle with their live art performances and installations: JAPPY AGONCILLO, YSABELLA LALU, KFK COLLECTIVE, and QUATRO HAPIMEEL.
