Game of Thrones Season 4: Watch It Uncut and Ahead of the Rest via HBO GO

 

I am one of the biggest Game of Thrones geeks in the universe. However, while I thought that the Game of Thrones Season 4 trailer (watch it here) was already enough to make my geeky heart palpitate to the max; nothing could prepare me for the day that I found this invite from HBO GO in my email inbox:

This isn’t an exaggeration: I squealed, screamed, jumped on my bed, squealed and screamed some more and then clutched my heart to make sure it was still intact. And despite the fact that none of my fellow Game of Thrones geeks were able to join, I was such a geek that I actually went to the HBO GO event all on my own – and I am telling you: there were no regrets.

Naturally, I went there representing my House. Team Lannister for life!

I really don’t think anything could have prepared me for what was awaiting me at White Space, Makati.

When I saw the first sign, I actually had to tell the guard, who was pointing towards the direction I was supposed to be walking, to wait because I had to catch my breath. I was so excited, it was insane!

 

This way to Westeros!!! Wooooo!!!

And yes, those are candles and banners of the different Houses hanging on the side. As if that wasn’t enough, things got even more intense inside. I don’t know how to explain it, but it simply felt like I was in Westeros. All that was missing was a gown for me to wear, but everything else was spot-on.

Sadly, the lights were dim, so my pictures aren’t great, but everything from the mood to the wine to the lighting to the candles to the weapons to the setup of the place was very King’s Landing. It also helped that Tim Yap was wearing a stunning dragon scale-like coat and that Varys was walking around the room – no joke!

 

 

Even the food was named accordingly!

Of course, the main part of the event was the exclusive screening of the premiere of Game of Thrones Season 4. As guests at HBO GO‘s version of King’s Landing aka White Space, we were able to catch the first episode of Game of Thrones Season 4 before anybody else in the country. Woot woot! What can I say about the first episode without spoiling it for those who haven’t seen it yet? It made my geeky heart soar!!! Naturally, I don’t want to give anything away, but it had a lot more humour and gore in it than usual, and you’ll get to see boobs within 13 minutes or so of the episode. Haha. I know that’s what the boys look forward to the most! As for my favorite scene? Definitely the one with the line, “I murdered people, so I can be here with you!” I have sordid taste in romance, I know.
