FREE train rides: You can ride this Hybrid Electric Train for free starting May 6

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) posted an announcement that starting May 6, passengers will have the chance to ride the Hybrid Electric Train (HET) for FREE for 19 days.

According to the post:

Starting May 6, passengers will have the chance to ride the DOST-Philippines’ Hybrid Electric Train (HET) for free for 19 days.

The Philippine National Railways will have to complete 150 hours (approx. 19 days) run time for the train which will run the Alabang-Biñan route as part of its turnover process.

Comfortable rides are rest assured, as the train coaches are fully airconditioned. They also have CCTV system, LED TV sets, and automatic sliding doors.

The HET, a 100% locally-made train, is developed by the DOST MIRDC.
