When in Manila and looking for a great place to treat your kids over the weekend, I highly recommend you book at The Lake Hotel Tagaytay. I’m a big big fan of this hotel (hands down)! Despite providing guests with the best view of Taal Volcano, I simply love the way on how they treat their guests!
A few weeks ago, my cousin asked me about my recommended hotel in Tagaytay because they wanted to surprise their kids for getting high grades in their exams. I immediately recommended The Lake Hotel Tagaytay because of their reputation of being such a great family-oriented hotel. I also contacted my friends at the hotel and introduced my cousin so they could plan about the surprise.
Weekend came and the kids thought it was just one of their usual family outings, but as soon as they opened the door…..

I was soooo happy when I saw these photos on my wall! Their reactions were just priceless! With all the hotels I’ve visited, The Lake Hotel Tagaytay is by far the only hotel which offer this kind of service. Before checking-in, you may coordinate with the staff if you have any surprise requests for your loved ones (free of charge), to make sure your every stay is memorable. You can even request the hotel staff for a mascot appearance just like what they did with my cousin’s family.
During me and Frank’s stay last year, they also surprised us with a sweet romantic room setup with a light projector with colorful stars revolving around the ceiling. They also made an effort to give me a big bouquet of flowers!!

They sure know how to make people feel loved and special and this is the reason why it’s impossible for people not to fall in-love with this hotel. They may not be as luxurious as the other hotels around Tagaytay, but it’s the heart warming gestures and little thoughtful details that are really touching. =)
