It’s a #pinoypride moment as a Filipino makes it big as a grand winner for the ‘Oscars’ of wedding and film photography.
As reported by ABS-CBN News, videographer Bob Nicolas “won first place in the wedding/engagement short film category of the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) Awards for Filmmaking.”
The WPPI was held at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, NV just recently.

Nicolas’ entry was the wedding video of Cristalle Belo and Justin Pitt.
Other than the Pitt-Belo nuptials, Nicolas’ other famous wedding videos include Rob Mananquil & Maxine Magalona’s, RG Gabunada and Tricia Gosingtian’s, Jericho Rosales and Kim Jones’; and Paul Soriano & Toni Gonzaga’s.
Nicolas was “born into the world of events coverage’ and was ‘trained to document weddings and other special events through videography’ where he later learned photography as well, according to his official website.
