I’ve mentioned how much I love Justin Bieber’s song What Do You Mean, right? I actually loved it so much, I never thought I would stumble across a cover of it that I would quite love as much as I love the original … until I watched this hilarious Filipino version of it by Yna Magenda, that is. This version got me singing “Anong ibigsabihin nyan?” pretty much all day. Check it out for yourself:
Yna shares that she started posting these videos for fun and didn’t really expect a lot of people to watch them. “Kaya po nag uupload po ako ng mga nakakatawang video kasi po para mapasaya ko din po yung nga tao,” she explains. “Kumbaga pang good vibes po. Gusto ko din po kasi maging comedian someday. Sobrang laki po ng tulong ng social media para matupad yung mga pangarap po. Gusto ko din po maging Vice Ganda someday.”
[Rough translation: “The reason why I post funny videos is to make people happy,” she says. “To spread good vibes, basically. Howeer, I also want to be a comedian someday and I believe that social media can be a huge platform to make those dreams come true. I want to be like Vice Ganda someday.”
