Filipina Editor Receives Associated Press’ Highest Honors

A seasoned Filipina editor just received the highest honors from the Associated Press conferred to journalists and executives, according to Positively Filipino!

Maria Ronson, current vice president of sales for Asia, received the Oliver S. Gramling Achievement Award for “propagating AP stories and images” in Asia!

Ronson, who has been with the Associated Press for 30 years, has been credited for generating over $250 million in sales, as she supervises the distribution of content to different media outfits in the region.

The Gramling award, which she shared with AP Middle East Extra, also came with a $10,000 prize.

Before working in the sales sector of AP, she was Deputy Regional Editor for two years.

Ronson grew up in Manila, who graduated with a Communication Arts degree in-then Maryknoll College (now Miriam College).
