Power Plant Mall celebrates the start of the Chinese Lunar Year with auspicious activities. The North Court is transformed into a Little Chinatown with food stalls offering delightful dim sum choices and other Chinese cuisine specialties. Shoppers born on the Year of the Monkey will also receive surprises from the mall such as Ang Pao containing special treats from the mall tenants, which they can pick from the Money Tree. A limited edition monkey plush toy will also be given away for those who were born in the Year of the Monkey.

Sumptuously decorated with paper lamps and other prosperity symbols for the Spring Festival, Power Plant Mall also celebrates Chinese culture with a special exhibit of Oriental art entitled “Greeting Good Fortune”. This week-long exhibit is in partnership with Galerie Joaquin.

More surprises await shoppers on February 8. Special performances at the concourse level will include puppet show performers, Chinese musicians and dancers, and Wushu exhibitions. Lion and Dragon Dancers will also roar throughout the mall to spread good luck to mall goers.

From February 9 to 14, the mall will turn sweet and sparkly with a Valentine’s fair staged at the North and South Courts. Love will come abloom as Manila’s top flower shops offer beautiful bouquets mixed with sweets and scents for heartfelt gift ideas. The romance continues with a special Love Lock exhibit, where couples can secure their love for each other on the special Valentines wall at the South Court.

The Concourse will transform into the perfect venue for a romantic date as diners are serenaded with love songs performed on strings and the piano. Lights will be dimmed to add to the dreamy ambiance from 6 to 8 pm.
