This February, Manila’s discerning music fans are in for a major treat as some of the international festival circuit’s biggest indie draws make their way to the metro for two weekends of aural awesomeness.

Enter FebFest 2014: Hostess Club Manila, set to thrill local music fans on two dates at the Metrotent Convention Center, Pasig City. On February 13, 2014, Thursday, sweeping fans up in their soundscapes are Scottish art rock stalwarts Mogwai and LA-based all-female quartet Warpaint. The following Thursday, February 20, 2014, it’s critically-acclaimed American indie greats The National and breakthrough dream-pop visionary Youth Lagoon’s turn to stir festival-goers’ senses. Joining these solid names are two recent additions to the FebFest 2014 lineup: Manila’s chillwave boy wonder Eyedress on February 13 and Brookyn-based acoustic duo Buke & Gase on February 20.

Hostess Club Manila is the first Philippine outing of the Hostess Club Weekender, a series of live music events that first launched in Tokyo and is also set to invade Hong Kong, Singapore, Taipei, and Seoul. The local leg of Hostess Club was made possible by Random Minds Productions, the team that brought The XX to Manila in a sold-out concert, as well as Demi Lovato, Marky Ramone, Wilson Phillips, Sugar Ray, Gin Blossoms, and Smashmouth.
