Farm Nation 2 and Farm Nation Jr.

 

 

Our Knowledge Consulting Asia launched Farm Nation last year as a program to encourage citizens to help create a sustainable future for our country through Urban Container Gardening and we are doing it again this year! This time around, as we learn more about the best local and international eco practices, cross fertilize ideas, network with industry experts, and peers, we are inspiring everyone including children to be part of this of this exciting event!

 

The need to collaborate with our community for green opportunities will help us indeed create a smarter, greener future for our country.

 

Farm Nation is on Sat, May 11, 2013, while Farm Nation Jr. is on Fri, May 10, 2013. Both events are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will take place at the College of Social Work and Community Development (CSWCD), University of the Philippines campus, Diliman, Quezon City.

Bee Farming with Rico Omoyon – Learn the basics of keeping bees and harvesting honey. Bee farming is a business that both young and old can engage in.

 

Hydroponics with Wilson Testa – This event is intended to help people to get a glimpse of the state of the technique and stir the interest of newcomers to this highly productive and profitable technique of food growing

Urban Container Gardening with Christian Luzong – By creating a home farm, we are reconnected with nature and our OWN food source while still living the city life. For some, it can even help to serve as an escape from the stress of life. By practicing organic and sustainable farming methods, it helps enrich the land and clean the air.
