Since parting ways with famous boy band One Direction, Zayn Malik, now known as ZAYN has been showing some promise as a solo artist, with his chart-topping single “Pillowtalk”!
And though his split with the band wasn’t exactly rosy, does Zayn still keep in touch with some of his former bandmates?
According to the 23-year-old, he still keeps contact with Liam Payne!
According to British magazine NME:
“I’m still probably the closest to Liam,” Zayn told British music magazine NME. “We talk on the phone. He congratulated me on my single, which was nice. I congratulated him on his Brit Award. It was a good chat. We haven’t met up in a long time so we want to meet up.”
Things with other bandmates Harry, Louis and Niall still haven’t cooled down, however. According to Zayn, he tried reaching out, “But no one responded, so…. whatever.”
Awwww. We’re sure there isn’t anything time couldn’t heal.
