Entertainment: Tom Jones’s Wife Dies Due to Cancer

The legendary singer, Tom Jones, was supposed to have a concert in Manila last April 2nd. Unfortunately, it got cancelled due to “serious illness” in his immediate family.

Although he didn’t specify “who” the family member was, many speculated it was his wife who got sick. However, the management denied it was her who was unwell.

Sadly, the speculations were true.

Sir Jones’s wife, Lady Melinda Rose Woodward, also known as, Linda, passed away yesterday, April 10, at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, BBC news reported.

They were both blessed with one son, who happens to be the singer’s manager, too. It was also mentioned in the BBC News, that both wanted to have more children but Linda had a miscarriage that had left her infertile.

Even though, the couple had been through tough times Jones often described Linda as “love of his life.”
