ENTERTAINMENT: This audition brought Katy Perry to tears, here’s WHY!

Stories like auditionee David Francisco are just the kind of anecdotes you need to hear should you feel demotivated or uninspired.

The Knoxville, Tennessee native 27-year-old tried his luck in auditioning for American Idol, where he performed in front of judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Katy Perry, touching all their hearts, particularly Perry’s.

He played and sang Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely”.

The video reveals Francisco’s story that includes his personal life and music career.

He narrates that he was hit by a car that ran a red light and unfortunately suffered to a spinal cord injury. That left him paralyzed “from chest down” last 2016 where he was told that he could never walk again.

“I thought everything was over. Music is over. Relationships are over. I cried every single day for months, and then I’m in bed one night, and I see my foot move just a little,” he shares.

This motivated the budding musician. He underwent therapy, tried learning how to walk again and continued with music.

He shared that one person he reconnected with changed his life and is now his fiancé, who is seen accompanying him at his audition.

Perry was spotted crying while he was singing.

“I’m just losing it,” she said. “The way she was looking at him with the purest kind of love,”

All three judges approached Francisco after his performance, giving him a Golden Ticket.

“You are an inspiration to us all,” said Richie. “I want you to be very proud of yourself.”
