ENTERTAINMENT: The upcoming season of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ will be their last

The Big Bang Theory made a big announcement on Facebook today.

Apparently, the show’s next season will be their last.

They posted the following on Facebook:

“We are forever grateful to our fans for their support of The Big Bang Theory during the past twelve seasons. We, along with the cast, writers and crew, are extremely appreciative of the show’s success and aim to deliver a final season, and series finale, that will bring The Big Bang Theory to an epic creative close.” -Warner Bros. Television, CBS and Chuck Lorre Productions

As a big fan of the show, this came as quite a surprise. However, it might be about time to bid adieu to the show.

Reports say that Warner Bros. TV and CBS decided to end the show because Jim Parsons (who plays Sheldon Cooper) was ready to say goodbye to it.

The Big Bang Theory debuted in 2007. Since then, it has received 52 Emmy nominations and 10 wins to date. However, it has never won for Outstanding Comedy Series. Additionally, it produced a prequel spin-off, Young Sheldon, which debuted recently.

Will definitely miss this show! How about you?
