The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will request theaters to extend the showing of the entries for the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) until January 7.

Tim Orbos, MMDA’s general manager, mentioned that he has been receiving many requests via phone and online to extend the showing of the MMFF entries.

Orbos said, “We believe that what we did with the MMFF this year may not be recognized now, but it will be appreciated by future generations.”

Although this year’s earnings is not as huge as last year’s, he said that they are happy with reaching even just 30%.

He added, “It’s not about the money. We’ve achieved enough already. It’s about what we can give our children later.”

The entries for this year’s MMFF are “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 2,” “Die Beautiful,” “Kabisera,” “Oro,” “Saving Sally,” “Seklusyon,” “Sunday Beauty Queen,” and “Vince & Kath & James.”
