Go Go Power Rangers!
The live action superhero TV series most of us grew up with, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, will have an upcoming movie. One of the most controversial albeit anticipated cast members is not a Power Ranger, though, but the villain Rita Repulsa.
Playing the classic villain role is Elizabeth Banks. With the release of her photos as Rita Repulsa, Banks is getting mixed reviews. Some say she looks perfect as Rita Repulsa, while others are disappointed that her appearance is largely different from the Rita Repulsa we used to know.
Banks’ costume is way, way different from before. Banks told Gizmodo, “It’s definitely a modern and edgy re-imagining of the original Rita Repulsa.”
Power Rangers is set to hit theaters in March 2017.
