According to a Department of Tourism official via post on ABS-CBN News, Steve Harvey will host the pageant despite his infamous blunder in the last Miss Universe pageant. Harvey announced the wrong winner last Miss Universe pageant where he mistakenly called Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the winner but later on corrected it to Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach.
Apparently, Harvey wants to do this so he can personally apologize to the Filipino people.
