President Duterte’s “change” was felt all throughout his State of the Nation Address or SONA today.

No more burning of effigies and wild protesters outside the House of Representatives. Everything went well. Everyone was looking forward to his first SONA. In fact, a few of our favorite celebrities tuned-in earlier and took to Twitter their thoughts about Duterte’s #SONA2016.

Director Cathy Garcia is the woman behind the blockbuster movies like One More Chance, Four Sisters and a Wedding, just to name a few. While Direk Joyce Bernal headed the movies Kimmy Dora, Segunda Mano, and a lot more!

Billy Crawford’s love, Coleen Garcia was also vocal about her thoughts on Twitter. First, she tweeted how she got “much love and respect for our President.” She also praised him as a “wonderful leader.”

Furthermore, the commercial/actress described Digong in three words: Simple, Straightforward, and Sincere. Ideally, those are the three qualities of an effective leader.

Vice Ganda also shared his reflection about the SONA. He posted that he will continue to pray for Digong.

Hopefully, Duterte’s promises are not meant to be broken. Just like the celebrities, I am also proud and hopeful that he will be able to execute his platforms effectively and efficiently.
