ENTERTAINMENT: ‘Apocalypse Child’ Wins Best Feature Film at Toronto Asian Film Fest

On Sunday, the indie film “Apocalypse Child” by Mario Cornejo won the Fasken Martineau best feature film at the 2016 Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival held at Momofuku Daisho, Toronto, according to a report on the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

The film was shot in Baler, Aurora. The story revolves on the life of the supposed love child of Oscar-winning filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola named Ford (Sid Lucero).

Previously, “Apocalypse Child” received recognition in 2015. It won at the QCinema and was awarded with P1 million.
Afterwards, they successfully screened it at the New York Asian Film Festival.

The film received ,000 for winning at the 2016 Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival.
