In 2016, Enderun Extension along with Global Chamber Manila hosted the first Big Data and Analytics conference at Enderun Colleges, where the trends, tools, and opportunities big data analytics delivers in respective fields were discussed. Last May 24-25, 2017 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Aura Premier, Taguig City a two-day conference launched the first Digital Transformation Summit 2017: AI. IoT. Big Data. Analytics to expand on the topic and identified if Digital Transformation is a friend or a foe. The topics tackled how digital transformation has and will change business operations as we know it today.
“We wanted to create a conference that would raise awareness on the topic of Digital Transformation, because there are so many changes and development in Artificial Intelligence, Big data and analytics, robotics, all of those are very exciting things but people might think it’s still 5 years away but it’s actually happening now and we feel as an educational institution we have a responsibility of developing programs that will help prepare our students for future jobs and future opportunities. “ said Daniel Perez, Director of Admissions and Enderun Extension.
Together with an all-star line-up of speakers, topics such as Artificial intelligence, Big data and analytics, IT trend and innovation in the 2017 Technology Vision from Accenture, dialogues that are filled with a variety of insight and information had initiated various discussions amongst the attendees. These topics are very relevant today with the use of our phones and hundreds of Apps and knowing how these have affected businesses and various industries, as we all know Data Transformation doesn’t just affect one sector, it actually affects the whole entire industry and almost every person in the planet, and recognizing that Digital Transformation is here today and not something theoretical in the future by starting a dialogue to see what other companies or industries and how they have already adapted some of this changes and to hear case studies and hear how we can better our own companies and our participants companies as well by equipping the attendees to benefit from Digital transformation, to have a place where all these ideas can be shared was one of the main goals for the conference.
