The COVID-19 outbreak has created a huge change in the way we live. As we battle it and try to win over it, a huge portion of our population is told to stay home to prevent the further spread of the new coronavirus.
When COVID-19 was declared by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a pandemic, many countries have slowly gone into lockdown.
Even the US and some European countries like Italy and Spain, things don’t look so good as the number of confirmed positive cases continues to rise.
Even here in the Philippines, President Rodrigo Duterte declared a month-long enhanced community quarantine in Luzon to combat the coronavirus. Other provinces even followed suit.
With the lack of humans outdoors, interrupting nature, it seems that nature is slowly taking over the world.
In Brazil, hawksbill sea turtles, or locally known as tartarugas-de-pente, hatched last Sunday in Paulista, a town in the north-eastern state of Pernambuco.
Government authorities snapped photos of these turtles as these creatures headed to the beach and into the Atlantic waves.
State Governor Paulo Câmara ordered the partial shutdown in the area and locals are urged to stay home to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus. With this set in place, people are forbidden from gathering especially along the shore.
