Elton John (“The Lion King”) and Paul Rudnick (“Jeffrey”, “I Hate Hamlet”) will be writing the musicaladaptation of “The Devil Wears Prada.” For Broadway, this will be led by Kevin McCollum, Fox Stage Productions and Rocket Entertainment.
The musical will be based on the original 2006 film (Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep) and Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel of the same name about college graduate Andrea Sachs who lands a job as the powerful Miranda Priestly’s co-assistant.
John says, “I’m a huge fan of both the book and the feature film, and a huge aficionado of the fashion world. I can’t wait to sink my musical teeth into this hunk of popular culture.”
