Striving to impart relevance and competence onto the minds of the youth, UP Radio Circle (UPRC) brings media discourse to another level. This year, the media organization returns with ELEVATE 7: Media in the Eye of Changing Political Landscape.
ELEVATE is a one-day student-journalism workshop on different categories with beginners and advanced levels offered to high schools from all around the Philippines. These workshops, facilitated by notable media personalities, aim to hone the skills of high school paper editors and campus journalists.
As students refine their critical writing skills, school paper advisers are also given the opportunity to attend the Teachers’ Training handled by notable speakers.
Through UPRC’s determination to shape the minds of the youth, ELEVATE was able to earn UP Radio Circle the Parangal sa Samahan Ng Mag-aaral, the highest award given to any student-led organization in the university during the 2018 UP Diliman Linggo ng Parangal. Such achievement proves how ELEVATE continues to embody the relevance and competence UPRC wants to achieve as media practitioners.
