DZUP toured the University of the Philippines (UP) for the event DZUP at 55 from November 26 to December 11, 2012. During the campus tour, the station gave away free radio sets and many prizes on the campus.
UP officials, deans, professors, students, staff members and employees, celebrities, and many others from offices, colleges, and dormitory in UP Diliman, UP Manila, UP Philippine General Hospital, and UP Integrated School celebrated DZUP’s 55th anniversary.
This two-week long series of events promoted the DZUP tagline Kasali Ka!
DZUP’s 55th anniversary was acknowledged by Vice President Jejomar C. Binay of the Republic of the Philippines through his congratulatory message for the station. Also, it was supported by the Offices of UP President Alfredo E. Pascual, UP Diliman Chancellor Caesar C. Saloma, and UP Manila Chancellor Manuel B. Agulto and private companies such as Manila Bulletin, Roche (Philippines), Maynilad Water Services, Inc., Manila Electric Company, SMART Communications, Inc., Unilever Philippines, and Data Recovery Center and media partners ClickTheCity.com, WheninManila.com, and BusinessWorld.
