Circulating over on social media, with over 36,000 shares, 110,000 likes, and 8,000 comments is reportedly an announcement from Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte running for president in 2016.
According to a news post from GMA News Online, Duterte’s adviser already confirmed the mayor’s intention to run for presidency in 2016.
In the past, Duterte has been repeatedly saying that he will not run for presidency in 2016 however he mentioned that he needed time to contemplate on it especially after thousands of supporters rallied at the Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park last September.
At present, there is no formal announcement who his choice for vice-president will be.
