Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte wants to implement a firecracker ban in the whole country if he becomes president.
He said this in his Sunday TV show “Gikan sa masa, para sa masa.”
He said, “The firecracker industry can still operate, but manufacturers cannot sell their products in the Philippines. Better to export them instead of selling them here.”
Since 2001, Mayor Duterte has already implemented firecracker ban in Davao City, which he claims the reason behind their zero casualty rate when it comes to firecrackers.
If he wins president, he plans to impose the ban in a country-wide scale.
