After figuring in a minor accident while practicing for Ironman, Jake Cuenca assured friends and fans that he was doing fine in an Instagram post.
Jake was cycling at the Mall of Asa complex when he was hit by a truck, fracturing his hand. He was immediately brought to the hospital.
A few days after the accident, Jake posted a picture of a quote on Instagram that said, “When you fall down you gotta get back up no matter how bad it hurts.”
In the caption, the actor wrote:
“Thank you to everyone who has reached out after hearing about my accident yesterday to my family, fans and friends i just want to say thank you and I love you guys! I am overwhelmed with everyone’s concern. Also I would like to thank all the cyclist and guards at mall of Asia who helped me out yesterday when the accident happened. I want everyone to know I am okay now and I’m scheduled for surgery on Friday. This experience has definitely taught me a few things but it hasn’t discouraged me at all when it comes to cycling and triathlon in fact it has motivated me to comeback even stronger . Thank you for the love guys. Ingat lagi.”
