UP Club for the Environment and Tourism will hold its annual educational program on March 20, 2015 (Friday) from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the Seminar Room of the Asian Institute of Tourism, University of the Philippines Diliman. With the theme “Pagsibol ng Kaalaman, Hustisya para sa Inang Kalikasan”, tourism students from various universities in Metro Manila will gather once again for the inter-school quiz bee about climate justice and environmental conservation through tourism.
Domestikwhiz is the flagship event of the organization which aims to encourage appreciation and promotion of domestic tourism among the youth, and to foster camaraderie among universities and colleges.
About the Organization
UP Club Ecotour is among the student organizations in UP Diliman that has a commitment in preserving the environment. It yearly organizes projects and activities that would help increase the awareness of its members, fellow students, and countrymen. These include Ecoskool, an educational campaign for elementary students; Ecotourista, an annual coastal clean-up drive; and Rockalikasan, a benefit concert.
