Dog that played Bran Stark’s Direwolf on ‘Game of Thrones’ passes away

Odin, the dog that played as Bran Stark’s Direwolf on Game of Thrones passes away at age 10. Odin was a Northern Inuit Dog and lost his battle with brain cancer last Thursday.

According to the Instagram page, @GoT_direwolves (the Game of Thrones Direwolves tour company), Odin led a life like no other dog. The post said that “We can all take great comfort in knowing that he is forever immortalised in the great TV Show Game of Thrones as Summer Bran Stark’s Direwolf Pup in Season 1 Episode 1.”

The page also posted a video to raise funds for his recovery. Sadly, his sickness got the best of him, and he wasn’t able to make it.

With this, the funds raised for Odin’s recovery will be donated to dog charities and will help further dogs in need at this tough time. They were able to raise £14,000 for his medical bills.
