If you grew up in the ’90s, chances are, you know A1, the British-Norwegian boy band who sang “Like a Rose,” “Everytime,” “Heaven by Your Side,” “Same Old Brand New You,” and the cover of A-Ha’s “Take On Me.” Well, the band who sang all those songs are coming back to Manila to perform!
The boy band will kick off their comeback concert starting October 22 at Singapore.
They will perform in Manila on October 23 at the Kia Theater, and on October 24 at the IEC Pavilion in Cebu.
The band is composed of Christian Ingebrigtsen, Mark Read, Ben Adams, and Paul Marazzi. Their breakthrough hit was “Be the First to Believe,” which achieved success in the United Kingdom, Southeast Asia, and Japan. In 2001, they won the British Breakthrough Act at the BRIT Awards. The following year, Marazzi left for personal reasons.
Their visit this year is their second in the country, after a 2012 visit with 98 Degrees member Jeff Timmons and British boy band Blue.
